Admittedly, I do get super excited when a filmmaker with such an offbeat taste like Yorgos Lanthimos gets the budget and resources to make a film that looks like The Favourite did. I didn't grow up with Mr. Rogers, hell I didn't even know who he was until I watched this film. And I am so glad I did. I think everybody owes it to themselves to take a break and watch these 90 minutes filled with positivity and hope, something we all desperately need in today's time.

How can two people be so good for each other but just terrible for their own selves. Etching happiness and pain, falling into a vicious cycle of their ideas of each other. It's as warming as toxic, and the incredible songs just catalyse your vulnerability and a feeling of hopelessness as you watch on.

This is why I love films? They have the power to put you in a place you might never be in, in this case...the precious shoes of Neil Armstrong.
